Historic Mansion Terrace: Clean Lines on Sarasota Bay
Perched along the open waters of Sarasota Bay, the Charles Ringling Mansion at New College of Florida offers an extraordinary sense of historic grandeur. With its pink marble facade, grand stone colonnade, and expansive waterside lawn, the venue called for an editorial design that felt both architecturally respectful and boldly modern.
The ceremony took place directly facing the bay under the shade of mature estate trees. Transparent acrylic ghost chairs formed the guest seating, allowing the sweeping vistas of the water and the historic stone arches of the mansion to remain completely uninterrupted while providing an unmistakably chic, high-fashion aesthetic.
Tented Reception Dining: Modern Glamour Meets Classic Estate
For the dinner reception on the mansion’s bayfront lawn, a clear-top marquee tent provided total weather protection without sacrificing the open sky. Suspended from the tent ceiling, multi-tiered crystal chandeliers cast brilliant prismatic light across long banquet tables arranged in clean parallel runways.
Tables were dressed in rich ivory dupioni silks, paired with modern black flatware and sleek black menu cards at every seat. The interplay between traditional crystal sparkle and sharp contemporary lines gave the entire space the feel of an exclusive European garden gala.
Late-Night Statement Lounges and Custom Barfronts
When dinner concluded, the energy transitioned toward the outdoor dance floor where a black high-gloss dance floor mirrored the starry night. Flanking the dance floor, contemporary black leather chesterfields and marble cocktail tables created luxurious VIP lounge alcoves.
A custom double-wide white facade bar ensured swift service for all signature drinks, illuminated by architectural pin-spot lighting that kept the focus squarely on the party’s vibrant celebration late into the night.
