Waterfront Sunset Vows Overlooking Rocky Point
Finding a venue that balanced cutting-edge modern design with authentic Florida waterfront charm was Kristina and Wyatt’s top priority. The Current Hotel in Tampa’s Rocky Point neighborhood proved to be the ultimate match, providing dramatic open-air terraces and modern ballrooms with floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking panoramic waters.
With guidance from wedding planner Jillian at Perfecting the Plan, the couple designed a ceremony setting that allowed the bay to take center stage. Under crisp blue skies and warm afternoon sunshine, guests gathered on the waterfront lawn as gentle waves lapped against the shoreline, setting a relaxed yet refined coastal tone.
Vibrant Emerald, Ruby, and Sapphire Tablescape Artistry
Stepping inside the ballroom for the evening reception, guests were greeted by a richly saturated color palette that stepped boldly outside traditional pastel boundaries. Lush arrangements from Iza’s Flowers incorporated deep magenta roses, dramatic sapphire thistle, and cascading emerald greenery, punctuated by warm candlelight.
The tablescape blended modern metallic accents with tactile luxury, establishing an inviting ambiance that celebrated the transition from sun-drenched coastal afternoon to glamorous evening party. Every detail was expertly captured by Ashlee and Joe Photography, whose specialized focus on color saturation brought each floral texture to life.
A High-Gloss Dance Floor Centerpiece for Non-Stop Dancing
To transform the center of the reception ballroom into an irresistible focal point, Gabro Event Services delivered and installed a custom high-gloss pure white dance floor. The seamless reflective surface captured the ambient lighting and framed the couple’s first dance against the backdrop of the bay at dusk.
With DJ Eric Harding of Grant Hemond & Associates curating high-energy sets, the dance floor remained packed from the first song until the final send-off. The sleek white floor anchored the ballroom design, providing both functional performance for enthusiastic dancers and a polished aesthetic that elevated every photograph.
