When Houston-based couple Ifie and Obie envisioned their destination wedding, they knew they wanted to treat their guests to a rejuvenating coastal weekend away from everyday routines. The sun-drenched shores of Clearwater Beach presented the perfect blend of seaside relaxation and energetic nightlife, offering an effortless vacation atmosphere for traveling family and friends.
Working alongside wedding planner Nicole Davis of Days Remembered by ND, the couple embraced a cheerful, high-contrast color scheme of sunny yellow, royal blue, and polished gold. The palette celebrated Florida’s signature sunshine while adding a contemporary tropical flair that felt joyful and sophisticated.
Under the guidance of Limelight Photography, the day unfolded seamlessly from getting ready portraits to a barefoot beach ceremony where the couple exchanged heartfelt vows directly on the sand with the emerald Gulf water as their backdrop.
Sunset Cocktail Hour on the Sand with Gabro White Leather Lounges
Following the emotional seaside ceremony, guests transitioned into an open-air sunset cocktail hour situated right on the sand. To create a luxurious beachfront resort ambiance where guests could sip tropical cocktails and mingle comfortably, Ifie worked closely with Gabro Event Services to design dedicated lounge pods.
Gabro arranged sleek white leather modular sofas and matching ottoman cubes directly on the shoreline, giving guests a plush vantage point to watch the iconic Clearwater sunset. The clean contemporary lines of the white leather furnishings elevated the beach setting into an exclusive VIP lounge.

As twilight settled over the beach, the celebration moved indoors to Duval Ballroom & Event Center for dinner and dancing. The space was transformed with floor-to-ceiling uplighting, custom blue linens, and sparkling acrylic ghost chairs that allowed the bold yellow orchid floral installations by Wonderland Floral Art to take center stage.
A delectable coastal menu catered by Island Way Grill was followed by an artisanal cake created by The Artistic Whisk. DJ Grant Hemond & Associates energized the crowd with a dynamic playlist that blended international hits, afrobeat rhythms, and dance classics, keeping the dance floor overflowing until the evening’s final farewell.
