With an eye for warm metallic patinas, soft natural textures, and creative handmade details, Sarah and Alan brought their dream copper-inspired rustic wedding to life at Pinellas Park’s Shahnasarian Hall, featuring personalized botanical touches, vibrant teal accents, and custom linen styling by Gabro Event Services.

A Creative Metallic Palette with Industrial Rustic Charm

As an experienced graphic designer and the founder of Sarah Bubar Designs, bride Sarah approached her wedding design with a distinct creative eye. Rather than standard pastel pairings, Sarah and her fiancé Alan developed a sophisticated aesthetic centered around polished copper pipes, oxidized blue-teal patina, and warm natural woods.
To bring this unique theme to fruition, the couple selected Shahnasarian Hall in Pinellas Park for its versatile indoor-outdoor layout and spacious reception ballroom. With full planning by Sarah Bubar Designs and photography by Carrie Wildes Photography, every element—from custom watercolor stationery to handcrafted mercury glass candleholders—felt cohesive and intentional.
“We were inspired by the warmth of copper and how beautifully it contrasts with deep teal and organic foliage,” Sarah explained. “We wanted an industrial rustic vibe that was casual enough for our guests to feel completely at home, but polished and stylish in every detail.”

Handcrafted Copper Arch & Meaningful Ceremony Nuptials

The ceremony took place in Shahnasarian Hall’s bright banquet space, where long aisles of white padded folding chairs were adorned with Gabro’s teal chair sashes and gold mercury glass vases overflowing with peach and cream roses. At the altar stood a geometric rectangular copper pipe arch crafted by the couple, draped in silver dollar eucalyptus and coral blooms.
Sarah was radiant in an ivory A-line ballgown with a scooped neckline and sparkling crystal belt from Truly Forever Bridal, her hair styled in romantic bohemian curls by Michele Renee The Studio. Alan looked dapper in a crisp white tuxedo jacket complemented by a teal vest that matched the wedding party’s biscotti and aqua dresses.
Surrounded by their closest family and friends, the couple read personal vows from custom green vow booklets, exchanging rings in an intimate service that reflected their deep bond and creative partnership.

An Energetic Rustic Reception with Custom Gabro Linens

Transitioning into the evening reception, guests were welcomed into a warm, inviting dining space. Long natural wooden banquet tables were styled with lush eucalyptus table runners, tea light candles, and Gabro Event Services’ premium teal satin chair sashes that brought the room’s rich color palette into sharp focus.
A delicious multi-course feast was served by Amici’s Catered Cuisine, followed by a unique dessert display featuring a trio of single-tier artisan cakes with textured patina finishes baked by The Artistic Whisk. DJ Grant Hemond & Associates packed the dance floor with energetic mixes, keeping the celebration buzzing late into the night.
Sarah and Alan concluded their wedding with a magical sparkler exit, departing amidst cheers and glowing golden light to begin their next chapter together.
