Island Serenity on the Tampa Channel: Waterfront Ceremony Lawn
The Davis Islands Garden Club stands as one of Tampa Bay’s most beloved waterfront garden venues. Surrounded by native sabal palms, blooming hibiscus, and manicured subtropical flora, the club’s waterfront lawn faces directly out over the Seddon Channel and the passing sailboats of the bay. For Erika and James, this intimate island sanctuary provided the perfect canvas for an open-air celebration steeped in organic Southern charm.
Guests gathered on the emerald lawn, seated on pristine white folding chairs arranged in gentle semi-circles facing the water. At the head of the aisle, the venue’s white garden gazebo was transformed by Monarch Events and Design, swathed in cascading silver dollar eucalyptus, white garden roses, and delicate mauve lisianthus blooms that billowed gently in the afternoon sea breeze.

Sacred Garden Vows & A Four-Legged Ring Bearer
Officiated with heartfelt warmth by Pastor Matthew Hartsfield, the ceremony celebrated the couple’s deep mutual devotion and shared family values. Erika glided down the grass aisle in a magnificent embroidered lace mermaid bridal gown from Truly Forever Bridal, carrying a textured organic bouquet of white garden roses, blush dahlias, and seeded eucalyptus. James waited at the gazebo in a sharp navy blue tailored suit with a coordinating mauve bow tie.
Stealing the hearts of every attendee, the couple’s beloved rescue dog joined the ceremony, proudly wearing a custom greenery collar and floral crown. Captured with emotive documentary beauty by Ashley Izquierdo, the vow exchange was followed by golden hour portraits throughout the lush garden paths. As sunset painted the sky in soft shades of amber and rose across the channel, the newlyweds embraced beneath the moss-draped live oaks, savoring their first quiet moments as husband and wife.

The Garden Pavilion: Mauve Linens, Gold Chiavari Seating & Mood Lighting
As twilight settled across Davis Islands, guests moved into the club’s covered reception pavilion. Gabro Event Services outfitted the space with signature Gold Chiavari chairs, bringing regal warmth to the open garden setting. Tables were dressed in crisp white linens, accented with delicate mauve napkins tied in artisanal knots and gilded gold beaded charger plates at every setting.
Along the head table, Gabro Event Services installed a floor-to-ceiling sheer white pipe and drape backdrop, illuminated by soft amber and golden architectural room uplighting. Centerpieces featured low gold compote bowls overflowing with white hydrangeas, blush spray roses, and loose greenery, accented by glowing mercury glass votives that flickered late into the night.

Organic Confections, Sparkler Send-Off & Dancing by the Channel
The dessert table was a charming boho display featuring a collection of two-tier semi-naked bundt cakes from Nothing Bundt Cakes, topped with fresh white roses and delicate eucalyptus sprigs. Following dinner, DJ Fast Break Entertainment took command of the dance floor, keeping the waterfront pavilion packed with guests dancing to an irresistible mix of 90s hip-hop, classic rock, and modern pop hits.
To conclude an extraordinary island evening, guests lined the brick pathways of the garden club holding glowing sparklers. Erika and James ran through the shimmering tunnel of sparks into a luxury sedan from Skyline Limo, waving goodbye to their loved ones after a breathtaking celebration that perfectly captured the romance and beauty of Tampa’s coastal garden landscape.
