Linzy and Michael honored their families’ timeless traditions with a sacred ceremony at St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Cathedral in downtown Tarpon Springs. Surrounded by awe-inspiring Byzantine iconography, vaulted dome murals, and intricate wood carvings, the couple performed the ceremonial crowning with stefana and the traditional Dance of Isaiah around the altar.
Linzy looked radiant in an Essense of Australia lace gown with a dramatic illusion train, carrying an opulent bouquet of white hydrangeas and silver dollar eucalyptus crafted by Bruce Wayne Florals. Following the joyous ceremony, the couple made a celebratory exit through the cathedral courtyard to applause from their extensive community.
Transforming Spanos-Pappas: Floor-to-Ceiling White Draping
To host their 300+ guests, the couple chose the Spanos-Pappas Community Center in Tarpon Springs. Working alongside Parties A La Carte, Gabro Event Services orchestrated a complete hall transformation, concealing the venue’s walls with floor-to-ceiling sheer white perimeter draping that softened the acoustics and introduced ethereal ballroom refinement.
Gabro Event Services incorporated custom ambient uplighting behind the sheer fabrics, creating a warm multidimensional glow that highlighted the room’s dramatic height. Crisp navy linens, silver Chiavari chairs, and elegant place settings completed the regal aesthetic, giving the large space an intimate and cohesive feel.
Traditional Greek Dancing, Signature Feasting, and Joyful Revelry
Following a multi-course dinner catered by Amici’s Catered Cuisine, the celebration shifted into high gear with traditional Greek dancing led by Grant Hemond & Associates and live bouzouki performances. The newlyweds and their guests took to the dance floor for hours of joyful Kalamatianos, money dancing, and family toasts.
