Wearable Botanical Art: The Handcrafted Fresh Floral Couture Gown
To celebrate the expansion of Gabro Event Services’ full-service floral design division, the creative team set out to stage an open house that would inspire engaged couples and industry colleagues with high-concept editorial innovation. The undisputed showstopper of the evening was an authentic, wearable couture cocktail dress fashioned entirely out of living blooms.
Meticulously hand-pieced by floral lead Amanda Gabro and her talented team, the strapless bodice and sculpted skirt featured hundreds of fresh white carnation petals, lavender orchids, blush spray roses, and deep burgundy blossoms arranged in a delicate ombre gradient.
Model Jordan walked the showroom floor wearing the botanical gown, allowing guests to witness firsthand the extraordinary precision, freshness, and structural craftsmanship that defines Gabro Event Services’ approach to custom floral design.
The Art of Suspension: Floating Botanical Canopies in Mid-Air
Beyond wearable couture, the showcase spotlighted one of the most exciting movements in modern event styling: overhead suspended floral design. Rather than relying solely on traditional tabletop centerpieces, the design team utilized overhead rigging to suspend lush floral clouds above banquet tables.
“Lately, I have been very intrigued by the art of suspension and being able to make florals look like they are floating in mid-air,” explained Amanda Gabro. “It opens up so many possibilities to try new and awesome techniques. The art of suspension really does wow guests because it’s unexpected and defies gravity!”
Hovering gracefully above long wooden farm tables, these floating botanical installations blended lush Italian ruscus, dusty miller, cascading amaranthus, and garden roses with suspended glass orb terrariums, leaving table surfaces open for conversation, artisanal glassware, and interactive family-style dining.
Immersive Lounge Vignettes and Integrated Draping Solutions
To demonstrate how seamless rental coordination elevates wedding guest flow, the showroom featured fully realized cocktail lounge vignettes. Soft white fabric draping enclosed private conversation nooks appointed with plush white leather banquettes, tufted ottomans, and statement Victorian acrylic armchairs.
Driftwood and succulent centerpieces, metallic geometric accent tables, and calibrated magenta LED uplighting highlighted how easily event spaces can transition from daylight elegance to an energetic evening after-party vibe.
