A Breakfast at Tiffany’s Inspired Bridal Shower at TradeWinds Resort

Audrey Hepburn, a little black dress and that unmistakable robin’s-egg blue: few films translate to a party as instantly as this one. For this Breakfast at Tiffany’s bridal shower at TradeWinds Resort on St. Pete Beach, EventFull Weddings built a brunch around the film’s turquoise, black and silver palette, and Gabro Event Services supplied the crystal chandeliers overhead and the glass chargers at every place setting.

A Palette Borrowed From the Film

The brief came straight from the screen. “The movie Breakfast at Tiffany’s and Audrey Hepburn’s fashion in the movie was our inspiration for the design,” said Karen Cerboni, owner and lead planner at EventFull Weddings. “The theme was light hearted, feminine, and the perfect brunch theme. The Tiffany’s color palette of turquoise, black, and silver is iconic so it was an obvious choice.”

The room did a good share of the work before a single rental arrived. The planning team credited the TradeWinds’ blue carpet, soft white drapery and customizable uplighting for suiting the theme so well, and the resort built a custom brunch menu that included a mimosa bar with custom drink tags. “The staff was easy to work with and let us bring in all of our vendors to create the perfect ambiance,” Cerboni said, and for a design this specific, that flexibility mattered.

Rather than a literal Tiffany print, the tablecloths from Over the Top Rental Linens took the classic colors into a more modern pattern, a loose aqua-and-white motif that reads as playful from across the room and polished up close. Clear chairs kept the sightlines open, letting the linens and the silver carry the color.

Crystal Chandeliers and Glass Chargers From Gabro

Gabro’s part of the design sat at both ends of the room. Overhead, crystal chandeliers hung against the white ceiling drapery, catching the resort’s blue uplighting and adding the old-Hollywood sparkle the film calls for. Under a draped ceiling, a chandelier gives the eye somewhere to land and makes the whole room feel deliberately finished. Our chandeliers and event lighting are built for exactly this kind of overhead moment.

At the table, glass chargers with a fine black rim framed every place setting. The black edge echoed the film’s little black dress, and the clear glass let the aqua tablecloth show through, so each charger added structure without competing with the pattern. Every setting was finished with a white napkin, a printed Breakfast at Tiffany’s menu card tied with white ribbon and a decorated cookie for each guest. More options live in our charger and tableware collection.

Pearls, Balloons and an Audrey Photo Moment

The planners leaned fully into the theme and recommend other hosts do the same: encourage guests to arrive in their best little black dresses, don the iconic sunglasses and commit to the signature palette. Pearls, which the team noted are trending, ran through the details, from the strands draped over the silver candelabras to the floral designs and signage, with floral and decor work by Save the Date Florida and Wrap My Floor. EventFull Weddings customized every piece of signage and stationery to the palette as well, from a Tiffany blue acrylic welcome sign to pearl-embellished table numbers and menus that combined both elements.

The showstopper was a bubblegum-blowing Audrey Hepburn portrait framed by turquoise, silver and white balloon garlands from Plan-It! Events, which gave guests a ready-made selfie spot. “I was obsessed with the Audrey Hepburn backdrop,” Cerboni said. A theme like this does not have to follow the traditional route of wedding colors and soft sundresses, and as she put it, it still leaves plenty of room for classic shower touches: “Think elegant brunch bites, games with a glamorous twist, and heartfelt moments, all wrapped in timeless Audrey-inspired style.”
