For their high-glamour downtown St. Pete wedding, Taylor and Darian were drawn to the historic romance and refined grandeur of The Vinoy Renaissance Resort & Golf Club. Built in 1925, the resort’s salmon-hued facade, arched promenades, and ornate plaster ceilings provided a dramatic historic foundation for their opulent black-tie vision.
Collaborating with premier luxury planning team Parties A’ La Carte, the couple chose a passionate, high-impact palette dominated by deep ruby red, rich burgundy, glistening champagne gold, and classic black. The aesthetic turned the traditional ballroom experience into an intoxicating, sensory celebration.
Acclaimed photographer Kristen Weaver documented the day with editorial precision, capturing the couple’s quiet moments across the Vinoy’s garden terraces before guests gathered in the Sunset Ballroom for an unforgettable candlelit ceremony.

As attendees entered the ceremony space, they were greeted by glowing pillars of pillar candles and dramatic arrangements of velvety red roses and burgundy dahlias by Bruce Wayne Florals. Taylor looked breathtaking in a sculptural fit-and-flare gown from The White Magnolia Bridal Collection, paired with Hollywood-glam waves styled by Lasting Luxe.
Darian awaited her beneath a grand floral arch set against the Vinoy’s iconic arched windows overlooking Tampa Bay. The ceremony balanced profound, heartfelt personal vows with time-honored traditions, culminating in a joyful first kiss as husband and wife to thunderous applause.
While guests enjoyed craft cocktails and decadent hors d’oeuvres on the mezzanine terrace, the event production team executed a flawless room reveal in the Vinoy’s Grand Ballroom that left attendees utterly breathless.
A Gilded Grand Ballroom with Gabro’s Custom Ceiling Draping
The crowning highlight of the reception design was the breathtaking custom fabric ceiling draping installed by Gabro Event Services. Cascading billowing swaths of sheer ivory fabric radiated outward from the ballroom’s central crystal chandeliers to the perimeter walls, softening the high ceilings and creating an ethereal, tented ballroom environment.
Beneath the draped canopy, long royal banquet tables were flanked by gleaming gold Chiavari chairs and blanketed in continuous floral runners composed of hundreds of open-faced crimson roses. The sweetheart table sat on an elevated riser, framed by custom backdrop wall draping and glowing amber uplighting that bathed the room in warmth.
After dinner, guests were treated to a multi-tiered confection by The Artistic Whisk and danced into the night courtesy of Modern Era Weddings. The seamless combination of historic architecture, master drapery, and bold floral artistry made Taylor and Darian’s celebration a true St. Pete masterwork.
