Modern Angelic Wedding Inspiration | Gabro Event Services
When event designer and company founder Kabe Gabro envisioned this editorial styled shoot at Tampa’s A La Carte Event Pavilion, the goal was to reimagine celestial aesthetics through a daringly modern, high-fashion lens. Moving far beyond traditional cherubic motifs, the design embraced clean architectural silhouettes, dramatic ceiling fabric sculpting, twilight sky illumination, and shimmering silver appointments. In collaboration with renowned wedding documentarian Carrie Wildes Photography, Gabro Event Services transformed the grand pavilion into a modern angelic sanctuary where ethereal purity meets contemporary ballroom grandeur.
Ethereal Sanctuary: Architectural Fabric Draping and Celestial Ceremony Canopies
“We were inspired by angels for this styled shoot,” shared Kabe Gabro. “Most of the time angelic themes are portrayed through traditional cherubs and antique decor. I wanted to twist it up with a sophisticated, contemporary feel where white feathers symbolize the wings of angels, soaring white draping forms celestial clouds, and majestic candelabras introduce a royal, regal essence.” To establish this vision, Gabro’s installation team constructed a monumental four-post ceremony canopy draped in sheer white voile, creating an ethereal sanctuary at the head of the aisle.
Suspended overhead, sweeping fabric swags extended from the central canopy outwards across the pavilion ceiling, softening the architectural perimeter and creating the visual illusion of billowed clouds. A seamless white aisle runner created a reflective pathway down the center of the room, accented by tall frosted plinths crowned with pristine white ostrich plumes and cascading crystal strands. The resulting ceremony atmosphere was simultaneously modern, sacred, and visually arresting.

Twilight Sky Illumination: Multi-Tone Uplighting and Precision Pin-Spotting
Lighting played an indispensable role in transforming the ballroom environment from ceremony purity to an atmospheric evening reception. Inspired by the natural color transitions of the dusk sky, Gabro’s lighting engineers deployed a multi-tonal perimeter uplighting scheme featuring blending spectrums of soft blush, radiant magenta, and twilight indigo. Projected against floor-to-ceiling white drapery, the saturated color gradient produced a stunning sunset aura around the entirety of the pavilion.
Complementing the broad washes of wall color, precision pin-spot fixtures were suspended overhead and calibrated directly onto each guest table centerpiece and place setting. This targeted illumination brought dramatic sparkle to the crystal candelabras and beaded glassware without spilling unneeded light onto surrounding areas, preserving an intimate, candlelit ambiance across the dining room while ensuring every centerpiece served as a gleaming focal point.

Opulent Tablescapes: Silver Candelabras, Beaded Glass Chargers, and Sequin Runners
The dining tablescapes were styled to reflect timeless royal elegance with glistening modern textures. Centered on crisp ivory dining tables, Gabro Event Services positioned ornate five-arm silver candelabras topped with glowing tapered candles and adorned with cascading crystal drops. Layered underneath, metallic silver sequin runners caught and refracted the candlelight, adding a glamorous shimmer across each tabletop.
At each place setting, guests were welcomed by clear glass charger plates bordered in polished silver beads. Soft blush satin napkins were folded cleanly beneath custom menu cards, adding a delicate touch of warmth against the cool silver and white palette. Silver Chiavari chairs with padded white cushions framed every table, providing clean vertical lines that unified the ballroom’s high ceilings with the dining surface.

VIP Lounge Architecture: White Leather Tufted Seating and Perimeter Draping
To provide guests with an exclusive retreat away from the main dance floor, Gabro Event Services installed a dedicated VIP lounge vignette. Centered around a plush white leather tufted sofa and paired with structured armchairs, the seating area featured mirrored chrome coffee tables styled with crystal votives and silver decor. The lounge offered an inviting setting where guests could converse comfortably throughout the cocktail reception and after-dinner festivities.
Encircling the entire ballroom, seamless white wall drapery concealed all structural walls, establishing a fully immersive event environment.
