When Lindsay and Zach—who reside on Florida’s Atlantic coast in Ponte Vedra—selected Clearwater Beach for their destination wedding, their vision centered on an open-air ceremony surrounded by 360-degree vistas of the sparkling Gulf of Mexico and the Intracoastal Waterway. Welcoming 115 of their closest friends and family members, the couple orchestrated an elegant, monochromatic white aesthetic that harmonized seamlessly with the vast coastal horizon.
Working in close collaboration with premier wedding planner Katy Martin of Coastal Coordinating and the photography team at Lifelong Photography Studio, Gabro Event Services executed a complete aesthetic transformation from the sun-drenched rooftop ceremony terrace through to an opulent, custom-draped ballroom reception.
1. 16th-Floor Sky Terrace: Panoramic Gulf Ceremony Architecture
The ceremony architecture prioritized unencumbered ocean sightlines. Pristine white ceremony chairs were arranged in clean, symmetrical rows along the terracotta tiled terrace, forming an aisle anchored by elevated white floral pedestals crowned with garden roses and lush hydrangeas. Framed against clear blue spring skies, the setting allowed the panoramic Gulf breezes to animate the moment as Lindsay walked down the aisle to meet Zach beneath the afternoon sun.
The crisp white seating established a light, luminous footprint that elevated the expansive terrace without competing with the natural grandeur of the Gulf of Mexico, transitioning effortlessly into cocktail hour before guests adjourned indoors for the grand ballroom reception.
2. Grand Ballroom Metamorphosis: Monochromatic White Draping & Clear Seating
Following the rooftop vows, the celebration moved inside to the Hyatt Regency’s Grand Ballroom, where Gabro Event Services executed a complete aesthetic metamorphosis. Transitioning from the bright coastal exterior to an evening reception required softening the ballroom’s commercial architectural elements while infusing modern, editorial luxury. To achieve this, our team installed tailored floor-to-ceiling white fabric perimeter wall draping around the entire room, instantly establishing a luminous, monochromatic cocoon that accentuated the ballroom’s dramatic ceiling heights.
Complementing the crisp drapery, modern clear acrylic Chiavari chairs were selected for every table setting. The translucent silhouette of the clear chairs introduced a contemporary, featherlight visual weight to the room, preventing the 115-seat configuration from feeling crowded. As the evening progressed, the clear chairs captured and refracted the glow of hundreds of surrounding candles, echoing the modern romance established throughout the ceremony.
3. Sophisticated Feasting Tablescapes & Sculptural Candlelight
To break up the visual uniformity of traditional ballroom banquet rounds, Lindsay and Zach partnered with Gabro Event Services to incorporate long rectangular feasting tables into the center of the floor plan. Combining banquet rounds with elongated feasting tables introduced dynamic dimensional rhythm across the room, allowing family and wedding party members to sit in close-knit, intimate clusters while optimizing sightlines toward the central dance floor.
“We rented our white dance floor, white draping, and feasting tables from GABRO EVENT SERVICES,” Lindsay shared. “The rentals really helped elevate the space and align it with our vision for the ballroom. The draping brought an extra level of elegance. Adding the feasting tables to mix up the table shapes was visually appealing and ensured our guests could fit comfortably.”
The feasting tables were styled with crisp white floor-length linens, flanked by clear Chiavari chairs, and adorned with an unbroken runner of varying height glassware. Floating candle cylinders, slender white taper candles in glass chimneys, and low arrangements of white spray roses created an intimate, glowing tablescape that cast warm reflections across the entire dining room throughout dinner service.
4. High-Energy Celebration: Seamless White Dance Floor & Streamer Grand Exit
At the center of the ballroom, Gabro Event Services installed a custom, seamless high-gloss white dance floor. Serving as the celebratory heart of the reception, the crisp white finish tied directly into the room’s monochromatic palette while providing a luminous platform for the couple’s first dance, captured with exquisite sensitivity by Lifelong Photography Studio.
As the night concluded, the couple shared an unforgettable private last dance alone in the ballroom before their grand departure. “Lindsay and Zach had the cutest and most special private last dance, where we used their grand exit streamers at the end to surprise them as well,” recounted planner Katy Martin. “They then greeted their guests in the grand hallway with a streamer toss grand exit.” Fueling the celebration until the very end with late-night Cincinnati-style chili cheese coneys from Skyline Chili, the evening concluded as a triumph of personalized coastal hospitality.
