Set against the rich red brick and storied craftsmanship of El Reloj—America’s oldest operating cigar factory in Ybor City—this vibrant pink and orange summer wedding inspiration at J.C. Newman Cigar Co. proves that historic industrial spaces are the ultimate canvas for bold, joyful color. Captured by Amber McWhorter Photography and brought to life through statement rentals from Gabro Event Services, the shoot balances vibrant summer citrus tones with jewel-toned blue velvet seating and gilded place settings.
An Open-Air Ceremony in Cigar Worker’s Park
Located directly across from the historic factory, Cigar Worker’s Park offers an intimate green space framed by mature shade trees and the iconic clock tower of El Reloj. To breathe modern summer vibrancy into the historic Ybor brick setting, the creative team leaned into a fearless palette of hot pink, sunset orange, coral ranunculus, and royal blue accents.
A rustic wooden ceremony arch created by Save The Date Florida anchored the lawn, overflowing with blooming pink garden roses, yellow tulips, and textured greenery. Fresh pink rose petals blanketed the grassy aisle where the couple shared private vows before exploring the park’s charming brick fountain with their four-legged companion.

Romantic Ybor City Portraits Beside Historic Red Brick
Amber McWhorter Photography utilized the architectural textures of J.C. Newman to craft evocative newlywed portraits. The bride wore an exquisite fit-and-flare gown from Truly Forever Bridal, detailed with dimensional floral lace appliqués that echoed the day’s organic floral motifs, complemented by effortless bridal glam from Lasting Luxe Artistry.
“We predominantly chose vibrant oranges and hot pinks because they created such a breathtaking contrast against the historic brick and neutral tones of the factory,” shared Tiffany Haas, Event Coordinator at J.C. Newman. The couple posed along the wrought-iron courtyard fountain and factory walkways, capturing the timeless spirit of Tampa’s historic cigar district.

Blue Velvet Statement Seating & Vibrant Reception Tables
The reception styling centered around a long banquet dining table designed to foster lively conversation. Gabro Event Services anchored the tablescape with plush royal blue velvet dining chairs, introducing an unexpected jewel-toned pop that grounded the bright fuchsia and tangerine floral arrangements.
“Our stunning rentals from Gabro Event Services, working in tandem with the dazzling florals, really made the space come alive,” noted the design team. The deep blue velvet upholstery introduced rich tactile luxury, allowing the vibrant blooms to shine while providing guests with exceptional comfort.

Gilded Place Settings & Golden Hour Rooftop Toasts
Place settings were layered with artistic precision. Gabro Event Services supplied brushed gold flatware and metallic charger plates, which reflected the warm light of colorful taper candles. Save The Date Florida styled low floral compotes featuring yellow tulips, orange carnations, and reflexed pink roses that trailed effortlessly across the table.
As evening settled over Ybor City, the couple ascended to the J.C. Newman rooftop for sunset portraits and cigar toasts overlooking the historic neighborhood skyline. Against the golden Florida dusk, the celebration embodied an unforgettable fusion of authentic heritage and modern vibrant romance.
