For Emily and Brent, the vision for their wedding day centered around bringing the rich warmth of a winter celebration to the waterfront setting of the St. Pete Beach Community Center.
Drawing inspiration from the crisp winter season, the couple selected a palette of deep burgundy, shimmering silver, and classic black. Guided by the seasoned expertise of Tammy Waterman and the team at Special Moments Event Planning, the couple seamlessly transitioned their guests from an intimate open-air waterfront ceremony into a lavishly draped indoor ballroom reception.
Waterfront Ceremony on Boca Ciega Bay
The ceremony unfolded on the waterfront patio overlooking the sparkling waters of Boca Ciega Bay. Against the scenic backdrop of passing sailboats and gentle coastal breezes, the couple exchanged vows framed by a natural wooden wedding arch adorned with deep burgundy garden roses, ivory hydrangeas, and trailing eucalyptus greenery.
To complement the winter color story, Gabro Event Services provided gleaming metallic silver Chiavari chairs with white padded cushions. The clean, reflective silver finish mirrored the coastal sunlight, creating an upscale, sophisticated aesthetic against the bay.

Following the ceremony, Amber McWhorter Photography guided the newlyweds to the sandy shoreline of St. Pete Beach for their golden hour portrait session. Emily stunned in a romantic lace trumpet bridal gown from The Dressing Room, featuring delicate illusion straps and an intricate scalloped train.
The bride’s rich burgundy floral bouquet provided a striking pop of winter warmth against the tranquil blue waters, creating timeless imagery that celebrated both the coastal setting and the couple’s signature color palette.

Ballroom Transformation with Custom Ceiling Draping
The true showstopper of the evening was the dramatic indoor ballroom transformation. To soften the high ceilings of the St. Pete Beach Community Center and create an atmosphere of opulent winter luxury, Gabro Event Services installed expansive white ceiling draping that radiated from the center of the hall, complemented by warm romantic ambient lighting.
The dining tables were styled with crisp white floor-length linens, metallic silver beaded charger plates, and folded burgundy napkins. “The pieces we chose to rent from Gabro Event Services really enhanced our wedding and reception. They are beautiful as well as of great quality,” the bride beamed. Surrounded by friends and family, the couple danced beneath the flowing fabric canopy to musical curation by Grant Hemond & Associates, concluding an unforgettable winter wedding.
