Officiated by Father George, the traditional Nuptial Mass united the couple in an atmosphere of reverence and sacred beauty. Dressed in a breathtaking strapless ballgown with delicate floral embroidery by couture designer Hayley Paige, Samantha radiated bridal elegance as she was escorted down the marble aisle carrying a lush hand-tied bouquet of blush garden roses and white hydrangeas designed by Gabro Event Services.
Following the sacrament, the wedding party boarded an L3 Limousine for portraits across downtown landmarks before heading toward the bay. As evening approached, guests arrived at The Rusty Pelican, a beloved Tampa waterfront institution renowned for its panoramic views of Tampa Bay’s shimmering waters and breathtaking sunset vistas. Coordinated with meticulous precision by Tammy Waterman and the team at Special Moments Event Planning, the Grand Ballroom was transformed into an enchanted gilded haven.
Draped overhead with flowing ivory chiffon ceiling swags and illuminated by crystal chandeliers by Arlene Floral Designs, the ballroom felt expansive yet wonderfully intimate. Large windows framed the fiery colors of the Florida sunset, offering guests a front-row seat to the natural beauty of the Gulf Coast as golden hour gave way to twilight over the water.
Opulent Tablescaping: Crystal Candelabras, Fine Linens & Gilded Accents
Inside the dining hall, an extended central feasting table anchored the room, surrounded by round guest tables dressed in pristine white linens. Serving as both florist and rental designer, Gabro Event Services created towering gold candelabra centerpieces laden with lush, fragrant arrangements of blush roses, ivory spray roses, white hydrangeas, and cascading seeded eucalyptus. Elegant crystal pendants dangled gracefully from each gilded arm, catching the soft glow of flickering taper candles.
At each place setting, Gabro Event Services’ signature clear and gold beaded charger plates paired with crisp folded white napkins and custom floral menu stationery. Facing the room, a dedicated sweetheart table stood beneath a contemporary gilded criss-cross wall backdrop from Rebecca Rentals, swathed in cascading fresh floral garlands and surrounded by warm candlelight.

As the culinary team at The Rusty Pelican served a delectable coastal feast, the dessert station showcased an elegant three-tier textured buttercream wedding cake designed by Elise’s Pieces. Perched atop an ornate gilded cake stand and adorned with fresh blush blooms from Gabro Event Services, the cake was a centerpiece of sweet artistic celebration.
Following the cake cutting, premier Tampa Bay entertainment sensation DJ Cory Barron and Co. took the stage. Igniting an electric dance party, Cory Barron kept the dance floor packed with an irresistible mix of dance anthems, classic funk, and romantic slow jams. With waves lapping gently against the marina outside and warm candlelight dancing across gold Chiavari chairs within, Samantha and Matthew’s wedding stood as a true benchmark of timeless Tampa Bay luxury.
