Surrounded by premier cultural artifacts and sweeping bayfront views along Beach Drive in downtown St. Petersburg, Patty and Greg’s vibrant celebration at the Museum of Fine Arts proved that museum weddings can be simultaneously sophisticated and exuberantly joyful. Infusing a lush palette of vibrant fuchsia, royal purple, and emerald green, Gabro Event Services styled the museum’s soaring glass conservatory with jewel-toned emerald lounge seating, gold accent tables, and a custom decorative bar.
A Sunlit Bayside Lawn Ceremony on Beach Drive
Set directly across from North Straub Park and the tranquil waters of Tampa Bay, the outdoor grounds at the Museum of Fine Arts provide an idyllic open-air sanctuary in the heart of downtown St. Petersburg. For Patty and Greg, who grew up visiting Beach Drive and exploring the museum’s galleries, hosting their ceremony here was a deeply personal homecoming.
Bruce Wayne Florals transformed the ceremony lawn with an asymmetrical botanical arch bursting with vibrant magenta orchids, pink garden roses, and glossy monstera foliage. Crisp white ceremony seating framed the aisle, directing guests’ focus toward the sparkling bay horizon as the couple exchanged vows in the warm afternoon Florida sunshine.

Editorial Portraits in the Sculpture Garden & Banyan Canopy
Dewitt for Love Photography guided the newlyweds through the museum’s private outdoor sculpture gardens, where classical stone columns and contemporary bronze works offered varied artistic backdrops. Patty wore an exquisite Florentina lace gown by Watters, complemented by romantic curls and luminous glam by Femme Akoi Beauty Studio.
As golden hour cast long shadows over the bayfront, the couple strolled beneath the historic giant banyan trees lining Beach Drive. The majestic aerial roots and lush canopy created a storybook Florida atmosphere, resulting in newlywed portraits that perfectly captured the timeless romance of downtown St. Pete.

Emerald Velvet Lounge Vignettes & Custom Decorative Bar
Transitioning into the museum’s glass conservatory for the evening reception, the design took full advantage of the two-story soaring ceilings and glass walls. However, vast architectural spaces require thoughtful spatial planning to feel warm and hospitable. Gabro Event Services stepped in with custom rental furnishings designed to create inviting conversation enclaves.
“We hired Gabro Event Services for our lounge furniture and the decorative bar,” Patty shared. “The emerald green velvet and gold helped complete our tropical look. Plus, it was wonderful to have a comfortable seating area to break up the large space of the Conservatory and give guests a place to chat.” Positioned near the dance floor, the emerald seating vignette kept guests engaged throughout the night.

Jewel-Toned Tablescapes & A High-Energy Conservatory Reception
Planned and executed with precision by Parties A’ La Carte, the dinner reception layered tropical luxury across every dining table. Floor-length linens served as the foundation for metallic gold charger plates and rich emerald napkins from Gabro Event Services, complemented by custom stationery and towering tropical floral centerpieces.
As the sun set and city lights reflected off the conservatory glass, Grant Hemond & Associates energized the room with an incredible setlist. Patty and Greg shared an emotional first dance surrounded by family and friends before guests filled the dance floor, celebrating an unforgettable evening of art, love, and coastal luxury.
